1. Purpose of the App
Kannada Learning Buddy is designed for entertainment and gaming
purposes. It helps users playfully explore regional Indian languages
through quizzes, games, letter tracing, and conversation practice.
Important: This app is not a
substitute for formal education. It is in no way intended to replace school
curriculum, certified language courses, or instruction by qualified teachers.
Content is curated for casual learning and may simplify grammar or vocabulary
for ease of play.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: when you sign in, we receive your
name, email address, and profile photo from your chosen sign-in provider
(Google, Apple, or email).
Learning progress: XP, streaks, quiz scores, traced
letters, and saved words are stored locally on your device.
Microphone: voice input is used only when you tap the mic
to practice speaking or use the Live Translator. Audio is processed for speech
recognition and is not stored by us.
3. Third-Party Services
The app uses the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
Microsoft Azure AI Services — text translation and text-to-speech
Device speech recognition (Google / Apple) — converting speech to text
4. What We Do NOT Do
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your data with advertisers.
We do not store your voice recordings.
We do not collect data from children beyond what is needed for the app to function.
5. Children
The app is family-friendly and may be used by school students under parental
supervision. Parents should remember the app is a learning game — school
subjects, exams, and grades remain the domain of formal schooling.
6. Data Deletion
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored progress. To delete your
account and associated sign-in data, use the Sign Out option and contact us for
account removal.
